Stephanie Pitton
Stephanie (Steph) Pitton, founder of Empower: Exercise & Health, is a passionate Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Registered Kinesiologist with over 15 years of experience in clinical exercise programming. Working at the University of Waterloo's Centre for Community, Clinical and Applied Research Excellence (CCCARE), she has developed a deep understanding of the complex and evolving needs of individuals with chronic conditions, particularly those affected by cancer, through the UW WELL-FIT Cancer Exercise program.

Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Steph completed her BSc at the University Waterloo and joined CCCARE (formerly, UW Fitness), where she has witnessed firsthand the life-changing benefits of clinical exercise programming. This experience with CCCARE and continued connection to her northern roots, inspired her to create Empower: Exercise & Health where her mission is to expanding access and education for the importance of clinical exercise benefits beyond her immediate community.
From online group fitness sessions that build camaraderie, to tailored coaching plans and educational resources that offer individual support and accountability, Steph is dedicated to helping women living with cancer and other chronic conditions lead healthier, stronger, and more capable lives. Using evidence-based, personalized exercise coaching, Empower aims to create a supportive community where women can safely and confidently thrive through exercise.
